I have always been curious about what is left behind. For me, it is a great insight into the community and the surroundings.

I created the Pause Project due to my growing interest in the footprints that are left behind on the sidewalks, beaches, and roads. At the same time, I was thinking about how fast we all move in the world, missing personal interaction, beauty, and gentle smiles.
I began documenting and studying the footprints that tattoo the landscape without sight of the human beings.
After I gathered enough information I created pendants out of concrete of the imprints of the footprints that were left behind. Then I packaged them and installed them strategically throughout the city and beyond. Next, I post a clue on Instagram for anyone in the community to find and keep the necklace...just to replicate the smile exchange of passing strangers.
